Never encountered racism in ChCh and absolutely love the Maori’s and their culture.
yeah the racism is … yeah the racism is pretty bad in chirstchurch a white man was telling me to watch out for the maoris and islanders or they might steal your shoes I was shocked when he said this becausebefore he was telling me that nz didn’t have racism and then started listing all the racist things aussies have done to kiwis.

And yes he is black, but honestly at least half the people i see in christchurch are tourists that are from a diffrent race, and they seem to have no problem whatsoever. Everyone minds there own buisness, and its a quiet nice city. i dont know where u got this from, but clearly you need a reality check..ps: Aborigienes are the Austrailians dumbass!

CHCH is simply a … CHCH is simply a nice and quiet city….ppl are pretty friendly u know………but for me it’s abit too boring….i’d been living there for abt two years…….and honestly quite abit of racism there as well
espacially towards Asian from what i’ve seen…..

i think some students at schools from more poor areas tend to get annoyed with how much better international students are treated. I dont think they realise how much more they pay. lol. Like everywhere you go their is always racisim. The difference in NZ is that its not violent racism and its just a couple of comments here and their.
I just moved back … I just moved back to CHCH after being away for 20 years, forgot how cold it gets in winter. But absolutely the best city to live in, very safe and friendly. Especially the bus service, compared to Wellington. If your planning to visit CHCH, please do, you won’t be disappointed. I should be an ambassador:-)
If you go to CHCH, … If you go to CHCH, whatever you do DON’T and I repeat DON’T stay in a hostel called Vagabond backpackers…the guy in charge is a c*nt who doesn’t know how to treat guests!!!
But CHCH is a nice place to visit.
Planning my first … Planning my first trip to NZ . Will stop in CC , do they mind Israeli Jews ? Do we get heat because of the Gaza war and the West Bank . Or do the locals not care.
na mate we all good … na mate we all good with any one here a. it a very peacefull place and is the safest place in nz plus many things such as skiing hotpools native forrest parks and other places to go whale watching and dolphin watching are all within 1 hour of the city
